Ordered this cooktop to replace a 15 year old failed cooktop. Although I have not taken delivery yet, it appears like this does not come with external hardwiring. Online Installation instructions do not cover this. Need help with this. How to hardwire this cooktop. Thank You.

Most cooktops come with a short pigtail. Since you have existing cooktop there should be a junction box close to the cooktop.  According to the wiring diagram this a 3 wire hookup - L1, L2 and ground with no neutral wire. The 3 wire hookup instructions are on page 4 of the installation manual.
