I have a kitchenaid model kdfe204ess1 dishwasher that does not run through the entire wash cycle. It will start, drain, and begin, but will do nothing for long periods of time even though the blue washing light is on. I have replaced the heating element, the door latch and the control board, but it did not fix the problem. When I run the diagnostic, it did not show a code. I am about to give up, but thought I would ask the experts. Thanks for any help you can provide.

From your post it would indicate that the wash pump is not running. This style diashwasher has an inverter style motor prone to not running. You can check for 120 vac to the motor at the beginning of wash cycle. The voltage will be there for a second or two then go away if pump does not start. The board pulls power to prevent damage but doed not log an error code for this event.

Thanks for your response. Can I test the pump without removing it? If so, how would I do that?

In the toe plate area there should be a tech sheet. Connector p5 pins 1 and 2 you can measure for the 120 vac.
