GE TFX22ZPDA AA - Two issues related?

Hi there I have two issues with this fridge and I am wondering if they are related:

  1. Water leaking in freezer compartment near icemaker - This issue has persisted for the past 3-4 months in spite of my very amateur attempts to fix it :-) The leak is toward the back/top of the freezer compartment. Water runs and freeze down toward the back of the freezer compartment. A hose? A leaking ice maker? I wish I could tell.

  2. Fridge compartment is running warm - This acted up more recently (last month or so). Coldest it seems to get is 40 - 41F. The fan in the freezer compartment is working fine.

I am wondering if #1 is causing #2 somehow. Perhaps the leaking frozen water is causing something else to malfunction. I appreciate your help!

Sounds like a defrost issue with a iced up drain. Remove the freezer back panel and inspect the evaporator.
