Ice in ice storage area freezes together into blocks that jam the auger.  Have noticed a little ice on the shelf below like the ice is melting and water dripping down.  It seems the ice is melting and refreezing.  Have removed the ice bin and defrosted and cleaned it out - it works for a short time, maybe a week, and happens again.  Checked the temp in the freezer and it is around 2 degrees F.   I suspect the defrost cycle is too long but don't know how to troubleshoot that.

Check the dispenser flapper door for air leakage. Check the ice maker for over filling. Remove the  bin and end cap of ice maker. On the end of the icemaker the module will have several small holes with letters.  Insert a jumper wire into T and H, the ice maker ejector finger should start moving and after the ice cube break free from the mould remove the jumper wire. The harvest cycle is about 3 to 5 minutes long, toward the end of the cycle the ice maker will fill with water.  watch for over filling and splash over.

I was planning to jumper the terminals and hadn't gotten to it.  Then I heard the ice maker dump the ice so I ran over to see what was happening.  There was a slow drip of water from the bottom of the ice maker toward the back.  Drips into the ice bucket and some leaks onto the shelf below.  I couldn't see much else of why it is leaking.  It was a slow leak that continued for many minutes.  Any suggestions on next steps?

Over filling or pull the ice maker to look at mould for cracks or corrosion.

The ice mold coating is coming off so decided to just replace the unit.  It is at least 15 years old so not too surprising.  I have some trouble with the new ice maker though so will start a new thread on that...  Thanks for the support!
