Whirlpool Clothes Drying Cabinet LMA1053MQO

Finally trying to install a Whirlpool Laundry Drying cabinet that I bought years ago - seems like I remember supposing to put a board behind the back of the unit where the mounting holes hold the cabinet firmly to the wall - instruction manual L-72 that I downloaded seems to be a bit later model - did not use the board, after getting cabinet mounted to the wall (so it would not tip) when i went to level the unit with the legs, it would not seem to level.  Then I noticed that the right inside of the unit bottom is caulked and sealed, but the left side seems tweaked inside, with a good sized gap.  I am assuming that I will need to unbolt the unit from the wall, install the board, then possibly fasten the cabinet to the board - then I assume I should be able to level this - what should I use to seal the gap on the inside left side?  It seems like it will have to withstand the heat from the heater -
