WTW6300WW0 Cabrio LD code but pump works

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have a Cabrio washer with model # posted in the title. It flashes the LD code for long drain. I have scoured the internet, and my issue doesn't seem to fit any of the post fixes. I buy most of my parts from the repair clinic and so I thought I would give the help site a 'call' to see if any of the experts can give some advice.

When I run any cycle, it will get partially done, and flash the ld code. If I push pause, and then start, it will finish without issue. I checked the drain and drain pump. The line was clean and the pump was at 12 ohms. I then removed the basket, and lo and behold there was a wash cloth under it. I thought, 'problem solved'. I then ran another cycle, and again the ld code came up. I ran the auto diagnostic sequence. The code ld (32) was shown, and then the sequence ran and it finished without issue. So the pump works. The washer works and drains. It just seems to be getting hung up when the cycles get to the drain portion. I tried leaving it unplugged for a couple of hours. It didn't fix the issue. The only thing I have not done is calibrate the pressure sensor any of the other manual debug sequences.

Any ideas? I'm hoping that it's not the $300 control board!

Thanks, Dave

It very well could be an intermittent bad pump, not starting sometimes when power is applied to it.

These pump after 4 - 5 years are pretty common to see intermittent pump problems or complete pump failure.

How old is your washer, (if you don't know - supply the serial number and it can be figured out/looked up).

Thanks. The washer is at least six years old. I will replace the pump. For $40, its worth a shot compared to a new board.
