Just a couple of quick questions regarding fill and fill times.

1. Am I correct in assuming that this dishwasher has a timed fill period?  Or is it perhaps level based. From what I have manually timed, it appears to be very close to two minutes. I presume the float is only a safety mechanism to prevent any overfill situations

2. What should the proper/correct water level be immediately after a fill cycle?

I recently had some plumbing work done with the DHW supply line and the plumber didn't purge the DHW line properly when he was done. I realized this after I found sediment in my bathroom faucet shortly after he left. I DID purge it correctly at that point.  I am pretty sure the dishwasher wasn't run prior to me flushing the DHW line.   But I don't want to pull the dishwasher out unless I have good reason too.

Thank you.

Most new kitchenaids are timed filled,  it really hard to determine the height but useally just bellow or at the heater level

I probably should've mentioned the age.  The dishwasher is about 20 years old. (In perfect working order).

Yes, it seems to be washing just fine.  I was just curious about the water fill "flow chart" no pun intended.
