Maytag Bravos XL MVWB835DW3 F5 lid magnet

Hello!  I have a Maytag Bravos XL MVWB835DW3.  It threw F5 code three times.  Replaced lid lock twice.  Third time called technician.  Technician replace lid lock and control board.  Couldn't get washer to run and didn't have answers, but said he had to get to his next call and would call me later in the day.  Technician says there is supposed to be a magnet in the lid that communicates the lock being engaged.  He said you either can buy a new lid $200+ or give me sometime to come up with something else.  I haven't heard from him in a week.  I have paid for this a little over two year old washer 1.5 times with repair labor, parts and trips to the laundromat.  So my questions are:  What does this magnet look like?  How is it fastened into the lid?  Is there an easy replacement I can pick up at a hardware store or hobby store and glue into the lid?  Any suggestions welcome.  We are a family of five drowning in dirty clothes. 😞  Thank you for your time and knowledge.

Check the lid switch operation from the board with a meter set on ohms. You verify lock switch - lid operation using the attached picture.  From the parts veiw on the net can't tell where the magnet is located in your lid.
