When we turn on the dishwasher, nothing happens and the three lights RINSE+DRYING+END all start flashing.
Last night the pump draining the water ran continuously even with the machine off.

Purchased in 2010.

Any/all advise would be greatly appreciated.

Well.  You will need to find the leak,  unit will need to be put on its back/side and open bottom,  look for any signs of leak hard water/soap anything that would indicate the problem, check under motor seen some leak drom there but usually an the older models,   good luck,

There is no leak.  No evidence at all, anywhere . . .  Could something else trigger flood switch?

Thank you for all the advise (so far) it is most appreciated.

Did it have any water at the base?

No water.  I turned off the breaker for about 10mins and turned it back on.  Now it works . . .

Thank you, for your time and efforts.  Most appreciated. Thankfully, no leaks.  I guess you have to win sometimes . . . fingers crossed.
