Can Whirlpool Appliance HANDLES be swapped out for KitchenAid Appliance HANDLES?

QUESTION: Can current Whirlpool Appliances (French door or side-by-side and wall ovens for example) accept handles from equivalent KitchenAid appliances?

KitchenAid handle:

feature-p140107-3z.tif?$ka-product-features$

We're planning a small home build for retirement. We're going w/ a French door refrigerator (probably), 36-in gas cooktop, 30-in wall oven, microwave above oven (countertop w/ panel), dishwasher. For the appliance package we're looking at Whirlpool. But like a couple of features of the KitchenAid line - specifically:
  • KitcheAid handles - straight 'bar' type (for aesthetics)
  • KitchenAid Oven racks with ball bearings
  • KitchenAid Dishwashers generally quieter, lower dB
Overall I suspect KitchenAid appliances largely share a lot if not most internal functional components and the price difference is branding, some features and aesthetics.

QUESTION: Can service replacement KitchenAid handles be ordered and replace the original Whirpool handles w/ the KitchenAid handles? Or do the holes etc just not align/fit?

QUESTION: Can additional sound insulation be packed around a Whirlpool dishwasher inside the cabinet enclosure to mitigate sound? Enough to make a difference? (the door itself would still probably be the major source of sound leakage)

(I've got a 25-year old KitchenAid dishwasher that I'll be giving up which is very quiet (and fairly easy to repair)

Examples from specific 2019/2020 models:

French door refrigerator: Whirlpool WRF767SDHZ accept handles from KitchenAid KRFF507HPS

Wall oven: Whirlpool WOS51EC0HS accept handles from KitchenAid KOST100ESS

You should be able to add insulation if you have room.

as far as handles call the manufacturer and ask.

Your saying call Whirlpool's 1-800 call center with this question? I wouldn't have thought it but do you really think the WP call center personnel would be equipped to handle a what-if customization question like this?

Well I can’t help and no one else has responded to your question.

I repair them I don’t “customize” them. Sorry.

There is no swapping information of items between model numbers. It would be measure, observe and guess as far as cosmetics items like handles.

For the dishwasher all you can do is try adding insulation to see if it will help. The toeplate area is often overlooked, some nicer models have extra insulation in this area.  Noticed this when servicing  dishwasher - take off toeplate and sound level goes up.

I don't believe your two models are the same size capacity (i.e. cubic feet), therefore the handles may differ in mounting dimension.  Handles on both models mount on studs screwed into the face of the door/drawer, so you could measure the distance between the setscrews of the handles to get an on-center mounting dimension. The freezer handle tends to be longer than the refrig door handles. But compare models of the same capacity. The manufacturer will not make this swap for you, you will have to order and install the desired handles separately. If you find models with the same setscew dimensions, order by model number.
