Drum Issue with Samsung WA456DRHDSU - Pictures Included!

Hi,

I've got a Samsung WA456 top load washer which is out of warranty. I just replaced the drum suspension because it banged around during high speed spin. Unfortunately, it also caused some damage to the bottom inside edge of the drum. Attached pictures.

The washer works fine on 'delicates' but it's now out of balance due to, I think, the damage. I have no problem pulling it apart and making an attempt to fix, but wondered if any of you have seen a similar issue and know if it is fixable.

Thanks for the help, appreciated!xIg3iYZJpNeI5Zg8nFFgxAKJAgsaF5RtdbRyhrZrQYVputLvqY_CwvadfT7GaLuGMqz3jsbMlM02tHsGrsi9Avs311P34BbVjnShV4mhL1qHwB6dc92K5yTW

You might want to check into if yours is one of the Samsung top loaders that are under the recall for going out of balance and blowing the cabinet apart from the basket hitting the sides of the cabinet.

If it is and you haven't ever had the recall repair done, (something to do with attaching the top to the cabinet and maybe a software update on the board to keep it from going crazily out of balance), even though it is out of the one year warranty the recall repair would still be done free of charge and I've heard on here that they also extend your warranty.

Regarding your pictures, (I can't see them either) - you need to host them somewhere else and put a link to them in your post, (you're a FREE (Grasshoppah) member so can't attach pictures.

It was under recall but was previously fixed and the extended warranty is no longer valid. So, if I can figure out a way to fix that would be great. Thanks for the help!

As to the pictures, any suggestions on where to host? This system doesn't seem to like the 4 I've tried, it either doesn't import or doesn't display. Tried Google Pictures, 500 Pix, Google Drive and Drop Box

Just used ImageVenue.com, I see them on the site but not sure if you do. Thanks.

+1 for basket

Yea, that doesn't look good!!!!  Looks like the metal basket has separated from the lower plastic part/?balance ring of the complete basket assembly.
