GE Profile double wall oven model JT980BH3BB persistent "supply miswired" error

Recommended Posts

I have done as much research on this as I can.  Now I need help.   GE website says you can get rid of this error by switching off power, and then pressing "settings" and "2" at the same time.  I have done this a couple of times.  The oven works for a bit, then the error comes back.  Always.  I am having a real hard time getting any kind or support from GE.  I have no idea if this is a control board issue, a relay issue, a heating element issue, or a fuse issue.  I have done searches and cannot find any similar issue and resolution.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Start with the basics the board thinks there is a power issue. At the terminal block check the voltages L1 to L2 should be 240vac,  L1 to neutral and l2 to neautral should be 120 vac, L1 to ground and L2 to ground should be 120 vac, Neutral to ground should be 0 vac. Check with the unit off and durning bake or broil.

Yep I’d be suspecting my electric connections at the terminal block since error is pretty descriptive.

Check voltage at wall and terminal block first
