Water level too high in LG LDS5040ST dishwasher

I hope everybody is having a great holiday season!!

I am having an issue with water dripping from the bottom of the door.  I thought the new door gasket resolved it but the leak returned again.

I opened up the dishwasher and feel that there is too much water in the bottom of it.  There is water up to the bottom of the door.  The installation manual shows that the water level should be between two marks on the bottom of the tub and to check for level if it exceeded that.  The unit is level and I’m at a loss as to what I should do.

From looking online two suggestions are the fill valve or the float switch.  From my understanding the float switch is only there as a backup should the valve fail.  So I’m not sure replacing that is the key.

I can hear the valve turning in and off as needed.

Can anybody offer any insight?

thanks so much!

To much soap is a possibility too,  or cracked wash arm,  while its leaking open the door and see if its very suddsy,

I’ve opened the door and the water doesn’t seem sudsy.  If a washer arm was cracked I can see where it would direct water at the door but the water level wouldn’t be effected would it?

I can do that.  What in particular would be helpful?  I figure one after the initial fill.  Anything else?

When it leaks open the door and take picture of the water,  lets see the suds as well as water level compared to the filter height

Does water run out when you open the door? No? Then water level is fine. Clean the bottom of the door and the tub where the two meet with the door closed. Clean the tub gasket on the other 3 sides of the door at the same time. Pay attention to the bottom left and right corners.

Well I've been prepared to take photos as requested, but after wiping down the seal I have yet to have another leak.

I guess I'll call it fixed!

Thanks for all the advice!

Ok ... I’m at a loss ...

the issue is completely random.  Some cycles there is no leak, sometimes a drip or two, and sometimes a bit more.

Does that fact that it’s random point to anything?

thanks so much!!

Yes,  usually oversuds,  no rinsing tge dishes before you put them in and perhaps dry a diffrent detergent
