We discovered water coming from the bottom of our Electrolux front load washer, model EWFLS70JRR0.  I tore apart and found that water had been pooling under the tub drain & pump area.  I found no moisture on any of the rubber hoses or clamps at the tub outlet  nor on the 2 pump connections.  I did find that the back LH shock was diconnected from the drum.  The plastic pin had worked out.  I reconnected the shock to the drum.  I cannot find any moisture around the pumps, just residue in the pan.  About 2 weeks ago the washer had a severe imbalance and danced around, almost turned 180 degrees.  It's never done that before I guess the disconnected stabilizer caused this.

Any idea what could have caused this leak.  Could the lose shock rod allow something on the bottom in to be in a bind enough to cause a slight leak?  Maybe during spin and drain?  Should I start replacing pumps, hoses etc or just let it eat now that the shock is reconnected and see what happens?

Only way to find leaks is with eyeballs. Just because water is under pump area doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the pump. Leaks from valves will also end up in your bottom tray. Water follows odd paths of least resistance.

It helps to know if it leaks during fill, wash or drain part of cycle.
