Miele Steam oven DG6600 Fault code 11

Hi I am having a problem with a DG6600 steam oven, it starts fine but then displays fault code 11 when any cooking function is being used. This oven has been barely used and is pretty much brand new so this is very disappointing from Miele. Does anybody have a service manual for it so that I can diagnose this problem further? Apparently it relates to a drainage issue (e.g. kinked cable or valve not working etc).

Call Miele. Their tech and customer support is pretty good. They should be able to walk you through some troubleshooting and/or recommend an authorized service provider. You definitely want an authorized service provider for a Miele range.

Thanks for your response. I called them, they are indeed pretty good, but they can’t do anything over the phone, they are saying most likely it’s an internal drainage hose coming out of the steam convector which is blocked or kinked. I don’t see how that’s possible after one use though! The unit is not under warranty anymore, it was sitting in a garage for a year and got installed recently. I have in depth experience in electronics and electricity so I can look into this myself but would rather have a service manual to guide me. If anybody has one, that would be much appreciated, or point me to a legit site to get it, or give me some pointers on where is the drain hose and valve located. I have to say I am very disappointed in the QA of Miele, this is such an expensive oven to have problems so quickly.

I managed to get my hands on a service manual. It’s a disgrace that Miele does not provide technical documentation to a legitimate owner. I am fully liable for performing work on my unit which is not under warranty, not the manufacturer, there is no excuse for them not to provide those type of details.
I might have a question or 2 for you guys, if you don’t mind of course.

Ok I just fixed it, the design is pretty clean, but come on...pinch devices on a drain hose? 😂 I would reengineer with a NO solenoid, you can squeeze one in that space, this thing is doomed to break as a primitive mechanical device or simply kink or damage the hose over time. If anybody is interested in internal pics for knowledge, hit me. Thanks guys!

Hi Laurent,

I have the same problem with a new DG6100 that I’ve just installed after leaving it in a garage for 2 years.  Please could you post a link to to service manual you found?

Thanks,

Steve
