My Refrigerator has quit cooling.  I would very much appreciate help trouble shooting the problem so as to decide whether I can make the repairs or have to replace it.

Thanks for any and all help.

You not giving us enough info,  is it not cooling at all?  Is the lights in the unit working ? Are you hearing anything? Is there frost on the freezer back wall,  is the compresser running?  Is it warm?

Thank you both for your response.  I think I found the problem.  The fan in the freezer compartment isn't working so the refrigerated air isn't making its way to the refrigerator side or the upper section of the freezer.   I was not aware of the fan until I emptied the freezer.

Now you need to determine if the fan motor is bad or it’s source of power is bad.  This is done by checking for voltage at fan or from source.

  • Thank you to everyone that offered help and guidance.
