Kenmore oven broiler issue. Model 790.75403500

I looked it up and this broiler takes ignitor 31877730.  It is very expensive.  I have tried using another "square type" ignitor.  It lights, but the flame is very low.  The bake function works fine on the other burner, so I think there is no valve issue.  Is the amperage draw on the specified (which has an extended-longer ceramic part) ignitor different and what causes the low flame...inadequate opening of gas valve.  The bake ignitor is 31877720.

The gas valve is rated for 3.3-3.6A, meaning any square oven ignitor should work. Just make sure you’re using an oven ignitor and not a furnace ignitor.

The flame should be blue and won’t necessarily be very big.
