Maytag MVWB855DC0 water in tub, "drn" error

Recommended Posts

It looks like at some point during a rinse cycle the tub stopped draining.  I have checked the drain pipe and tube and all are clear.  I reset the unit by unplugging it for a minute or so, and then tried restarting it.  It does the load sense, the tub spins a slight bit then the lid locks and nothing.  I hear a hum like a solenoid is engaged or a motor is locked-up and it just sits there.  It's about 5 yrs old and been fine so far. We have softened water, if that matters.  If I hit pause at this point the power lights starts blinking and doesn't stop.

Drain pump seized up somehow?

Thanks for any help.
