Frigidaire refrigerator FRS26H5ASB4 -cycling sounds

My unit makes a sound as if it is trying to start something, like the compressor, every 3-4 seconds for 5 minutes or so.  It is somewhat inconsistent.

I'll try to notice when it stops.

The unit is working fine, making ice and keeping everything cold, but I'm sure something is about to fail.

Usual noise for a compress not starting is a hum then a click, silence for 3 to 5 minutes and the hum starts again. @Samurai Appliance Repair Mancalls it the hum click chacha.  Since the refrigerator is cooling fine it is possobly one of the fan motors or damper. You'll need to find where the noise is located so we have a better idea on how to help.

Vance,

Thanks for your response.  I have decided to replace the refrigerator.  The water valve is failing, water barely dribbling out, and a few door bins have broken.  It is going on 18 years old.  I suspect its the control board and would rather use that money for a new unit.  It will be the first new refrigerator my wife and I have ever purchased.(been married for 33 years)🤣

I picked a GE, hope it gives us many years of service.

Thanks again for your time,  Chris B.

18 years is a good run for a refrigerator!
