I have an upright freezer that was over freezing. I could set the cold control on "1", but the freezer would get to the point that it seemed like I set it on "7". So last week I replaced the cold control, but unfortunately its still doing the same thing. there is nothing else on this unit that regulates the temp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-30c is -22 deg f that would mean it is running nonstop. Will look tonight when on home pc.

Looked at the parts list - it is just a mechanical thermostat. This one is simple as it gets. Thermostat for compressor control, light switch for light and power indicator lite. So we've come back to the thermostat.

I determined that I got a defective part from the box, reordered thermostat.
