Sears parts and other sites show two evaporators!

Same for me - comes up as a dual evaporator refrigerator with that model number. Please double check model number

You are both right it did have 2 evaps. I had them confused with another unit. Look is there any publications on the proper way LG wants you to do a SS repair?

Just bits and pieces. The basic would be a repair with no callbacks.  So the short version would be home the 3-way valve by unplugging refrige then plug back in for 6 to 12 seconds and unplug or push the diag button once and wait a minute then unplug. Recover refrigerant, remove componets as needed. Cut the drier open to find out what needs to be done. Perform repairs as needed and reprogram board if universal compressor is being installed. Pull to below 500 microns and make sure the system stay below 1000 microns for 10 minutes. Recharge as needed.

Vance R  Thanks, The info was straight but does LG actually have any publication that we could print out? I have a new tech that is learning refrigeration and it's better if there are like the exact steps to do it etc.

Thanks

For basic refrigeration the manual will get you started. It is from Whirlpool and after learning the basics you just add the LG variances.

Uploaded some information on R600a LG pressures, pending approval.
