How old is the filter, could be clogged up? Water inlet could be bad too. Does it make ice?

thanks for the reply Josh.

We changed the filter and the noise had continued

yes it makes ice.

The wife isnt as patient as I am. Called in a service from an APP. " Jiffy "  Apparently a large piece at the filter needs replacing, $250 canadian for the parts and at least another $200 for time.  I'll report back when I get a chance to chat with him, and / or read the invoice.

Thanks again for your response.

Large piece at the filter sounds like head/bracket/housing.   (Several names for same thing).    Hope you get it sorted out!
