Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): yes
Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): yes

I have read over the service manual for kfgs306vss but the cooktop was built differently than kfgs306vss03. I need help with replacing the igniter on the crown burner and I want to know what the service manual recommends for the correct way to access the igniter before I start taking things apart. Thanks

I don't know if this is the one you've already looked at, but this is the only manual that Whirlpool says applies to your model. If there are any other manuals, Whirlpool isn't making them very available.
