Which manufacturers commit best to parts availability?

Hi guys, little bit of a rant, ending in a question here.

Two years ago, we had to trash an otherwise good 7 year old LG/Kenmore high end fridge because the dispenser was malfunctioning. Aaaannnndddd....NO PARTS AVAILABILITY.

Three years ago, we bought a high-end Samsung induction range/oven. (Full disclaimer, now looking at the boilerplate it was old stock, with a build date of March 2015). Due to an unfortunate sugar bowl drop, the glass cooktop is now cracked.  Aaaannnndddd...THE PART IS DISCONTINUED!

I'm familiar with Samurai's appliance 'half life' theory.  But it seems the trend is even lesser so now. Is this because these two particular manufacturers are traditional elsctronics vendors, where obsolescence is measured more accurately in months instead of years? Or is this common amongst major appliance vendors nowadays?

If not, can anyone recommend a manufacturer who commits to better ongoing parts availability? Looks like we'll have to search for a new range again. Induction is awesome, as is its 'double oven' So we'll likely need to drop decent $ again, and I would like to do my best to insure that we're not in the same boat 3-5 years down the road if something should go wrong...

Thanks!
