Frigidaire frs6lf7fb3 icemaker not making ice.

Ice maker unit is going through it's normal cycle. Arm lifts and fingers rotate through the ice mold. Water in door dispenses normally. No ice or water into ice maker. Don't know if I have a

problem with the valve or ice maker is not sending a signal to the valve telling it to send water. There no sound coming from valve indicating it is working. How do I test to see if valve or

ice maker is at fault? Thanks for all your consideration.

Start a harvest cycle and measure for ac voltage between P2 ( yellow wire) and P4 (blue wire) on the ice maker harness. This voltage should be there for 5 to 7 second near the end of the harvest cycle. No voltage - im issue. If you get voltage at that connector you'll need to check wiring between im connector and im water vlave and isolation water valve.

Vance R thanks for the reply. Checked as above and got voltage. Checked at valve end and had voltage also. Measured resistance of all coils and got similar readings. Gave up on that line of diagnosis.

This ice maker is quite hard to get into. Stuck Phillips screwdriver into fill tube (very scientific troubleshooting  technique) found ice on tip of blade. Remove line to fill tube on back of unit which was a useless gesture. Got wife's hair drier and blew hot air up tube from inside of freezer until water droplets stopped running down tube. Reassembled waited a few hours for ice maker to get cold and restarted. Making ice as normal now though still puzzling as to why it froze in the first place.

Thanks for your help and consideration in this. I really had no idea where to start.

water valve may be leaking, solenoid not closing 100 %.....drips of water enter fill tube and freeze as it flows towards the I/M..
