Motor direction connectors on Pool Heat Pump condenser fan (so I need to protect from weather) ?

I have a pool heat pump in which the condenser fan was starting to vibrate.  The replacement one has the same HP, RPM and supply voltage. It also had a few leads that control the direction if I need to change it.

The question I have is this.  I could find nothing indicating that I need to protect these connectors from the weather.  I see that the have insulated spade lugs and seem reasonably waterproof but want to do the right thing (the motor is sealed as well).  Do you normally do anything special to protect them ?  I will probably tie wrap them to keep them away from the fan blades but in your experience should I do more?

if you are splicing onto existing wire, You can wire nut the connections and then use electrical tape. You can also install new spade lugs.  The unit is designed for outdoor/exposure to the elements.  Also always change the capacitor when you change the condenser fan motor. Be careful when removing the fan blade to keep from warping the fan blade. look at where the fan blade is on the shaft.  I have seen where people put the blade at the end of the shaft (not good) or butt up right next to the motor.
