Washer agitates drains but does not spin. Motor is running but not engaging with belt lid switch and belt are ok ???

If you goto Sears parts direct and type in your model #, look at the page that has the washers motor on it. Part number 16 is the turn ion, that could be damaged.

Also, you should be able to rotate the drive pulley one direction or the other and get the tub to rotate. If not, could be the transmission. 

Do you see the drive pulley turn when the motor is turning?

Could have an idler pulley on this older washer. Is it functional?

Thank you for the replies ! It indeed was the idler pulley and apparently the old worn out belt had left some Smutz on the pulleys. Cleaned that up and back in biz. Thanks again Jp
