This washing machine has a history of inlet issues. I had a post two years ago with a similar problem and the problem was cured by increasing our well water pressure. Now it's thowing the E8 F1, no fill, long fill errors again despite having 50PSI of water. I ran the auto diagnostics and the machine passed all tests. I then slept on the problem and came up with a couple of other things to check. One thing I had not tested was running a load with the water temperature setting on hot. I did this and the tub fulled normally. Based on this, I switched the hot and cold lines at the wall. With the temperature setting on cold or cool the tub does not fill. If I switch to the hot setting the tub fills, but with cold water. This demonstrates that hoses are clear and the water pressure is good. Something is causing the cold water valve to fail to open in the wash mode. In test mode the cold water valve works properly. Any ideas how to reslovle this?

Afternoon update:

I ran the manual tests and the cold water valve failed. I checked it with an OHM meter and that test failed as well. I have a new valve on order. Interestingly, with the cold water supply switched to the hot valve and the control leads for the valves swapped, any temerature setting works - even hot - but the water is always cold. Kind of odd but we can use this until the new part arrives.
