Most bizarre bottom freezer door removal I've run into yet... Looking for a service manual hopefully with a procedure for proper removal of the bottom freezer door so that I can much more easily install a new icemaker. Thanks!

You need to remove one screw in each side of the slide, closest to the freezer door. It's a silver screw in driven into white plastic.

Once you do that, the entire front and basket should lift right out.

It's about halfway through. You can ignore all the top door/water line stuff.

Probably not. That one looks a lot different.

I believe that one comes off with the 4 screws going from the bracket into the door.

Yup... It sure threw me for a loop! lol  

I believe you're right as that's what the manual is indicating as well.  Sure seems like an over-complicated design, but that's LG now isn't it? lol
