Kitchen aid kfcp22exmp4 ice maker not filling with water

Ice maker cycles fine but will not fill with water. Inlet not plugged. I replaced the inlet pump and that didn’t work. I verified the new pump worked by hooking the ice maker pump up to the fridge water switch and the ice maker water runs. 
I guess my question is do need to replace the whole ice maker unit?

This is the new style modular icemaker which is non-servicable. Replacement is the only option.
