replaced 3 speed drive motor , transmission and clutch but now new motor smokes in agitate and doesn't want to drop into spin but will drain..will spin if timer is touched..bad spin tube/brake or timer issue..any thoughts appreciated..

Put down some floor protection, drop out the motor leaving the wiring hooked up. Put your foot on the motor to hold it in place then run it in wash direction and then in spin direction. If all runs good check drain pump, trans, basketdrive. If it doesn't run good start by checking the motor capacitor. You can take the cover off the timer to look for burnt contacts if needed.

motor is new..just blew cap during  agitation so somewhere start winding is staying hot during agitation..trans is new..

I swapped different 3 speed motors..

timer visually looks good no coloration..

Not sure if those motors interchange?

It calls for the WP3352287 motor, would use the exact one.

You used the wrong motor and now it’s smoking. Maybe try the proper motor?

its correctly wired now all good..swapped motor works great now!!
