Reassembling Frigidaire Electrolux Door Latch / Lock - 2 questions - eiflw50liw0

Hello All,

Somehow the striker on our door broke in half, and I had to open up the door lock device to retrieve the broken half. I will obviously replace the striker.

  1. While opening the latch, this square metal fell out of it and I cannot figure out where it would go.

It looks like it is a striking plate for some sort of contact.

2) Is the position guide pin on the bottom in the right state? it will move out of its hole if I push the assembly up and down as if in operation.

I doubt anyone has ever taken one apart before. There is generally no need to take em apart. We just replace them.

I'm pretty sure #2 can be in either position, (looks OK as is), it moves from one side to the other on each open/close.

#1 looks like it might have came out of the slot just behind the electromagnetic coil, (where the spring is kind of popped out of place), looks like the spring made the round marking on the part.

Does this model have the reversible door?  If so there is a second latch under the door hinge that you can switch over to the other side if you can't get this one together
