Hi, So I have a child.  I should just stop there.

282231-1.jpg

A few years ago he broke the tip off the trigger arm of the float arm assembly.  I couldn't find a replacement FAA and still can't today via on-line searches.

I've solved the issue in the past by taping a tongue depressor like piece of wood to extend the length of the trigger.  It lasts a year or two and then goes decrepit. Do it again.

Well today, re-inserting the FAA into the bucket the left nub that insert into the receiving holes in the bucket broke off.  I'll be fanged if I replace a perfectly good DH because a two-bit piece of plastic broke off.

Its a float so there really isn't much load on the arm itself.  I'd like to glue the nub back onto the arm. But would like to be sure I use the right glue.  I know, Krazy Glue. But has anyone ever been successful with that?  Is there anything else?

Or, does any one know of a dark-web site that sells long "out of print" parts?

thanks.

Hot glue gun

ahhhh, and I think I may have one thanks 16...  Last night I dug up a tube of gorilla glue. It was dodgy trying to "clamp" the nub.  This morning it all looked good.   I was able to get the float into place with a new wood extender and its running.

I'd also realized if the glue option didn't work, given the design of the FAA, where the nub sits above the arm,  I could abandon the nub and attach a piece of wood to the nub's arm.  I found a chopstick and with a little whittling it'd be a "nice try" at least.
