Model JJW9627DDB from 1992ish.

Using an oven thermometer on the center rack

My issue: Top oven comes up to temperature but falls back (ie: set at 350, goes to 350 but falls to just over 300 after a few minutes but the control panel still says 350).

Bottom oven works fine.

Removed the temp sensor, reads ~1045 ohms.

As the indicated temperature stays at 350 while the real temperature slips I can probably rule out the burner.

I retired last week, to spite me my furnace was pronounced dead and the oven is flaking. The oven is a string that, when pulled, will result in a kitchen remodel ($$).

Ovens cycle temp they don’t hold temp at set temp. They cycle on and off to average set temp. So it’s normal for temp to drop.

also those thermometers aren’t the most precise instruments.
