How to wire a 3 in 1 Hard Start

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a small Danby fridge where I am trying to wire up a hard start kit (see below).  I have the three wires connected to the compressor no problem.  I cannot figure out how to wire up the other two black wires as there is a lot going on back there.  Please see photos and any help would be appreciated.IMG_4950-min.thumb.jpeg.c50adbc60f449be71252638fb8d165e7.jpegW

There will be a neutral and a hot going to your old relay it doesn't matter which of the ones you put to the two black wires on the three and one. It just needs to be the neutral and common that is delivered by the control board or thermostat Is calling for cold

The RCO410 is for larger compressors - 1/3-1/4 HP.

The Danby probably uses the RCO810, which is for smaller compressors.
