I have a client complaining of no audible tone coming from their freezer (this model). While looking at the tech sheet and manual, I can't seem to figure out where the speaker would be? I'm guessing that means that it gets created by a speaker on the main PCB, is that a reasonable assumption?

Yes reasonable, but not nessesarily correct. I looked today cant seem to find it either
