What is the part number and how do I order it--in dim memory, I thought we could do that on this site, specifically--for a replacement door handle for an overhead microwave oven:

GE model: J VM1090WW 001; serial: TR 982999 S; mfg: OCT 1996; 120v /60

Apologies in advance to all sensei for the total grasshopperness of these questions!

It’s part of door assembly not sold separately. But no longer available anyway.

These videos make it look super easy.  Wonder if I could try handle for some other model.

Failing that, maybe I could somehow cut down the existing handle and drill new holes (broken off with screws left in door) and rescrew the retaining screws into it.

You can take the old handle off and epoxy the old studs back into place. Then drill the holes all the way through the handle and use machine screws with nuts. Just have counter sink the holes on the outside of the handle. Then after installing the handle use white rtv to cover the holes.
