Frigidaire Front loading washer (c.2004) Model Number inaccessible because door won't unlock. Won't complete cycle.

Circa 2004 Frigidaire front loading tumble action washer. Door won't unlock because the machine won't complete the cycle.

Today, at some point during the wash cycle, I heard a very loud crash and bang. I went to investigate and heard the motor running but no agitation or spinning. Cycle was after wash and before final spin and stayed there for several minutes without advancing. I manually advanced the dial to final spin and the machine didn't make any sounds except for the pump. Manually advancing the dial to the wash completion buzzer results in the buzzer sounding without shutting off unless I manually advance it. Door still locked.

I unplugged it and checked the coin trap and the drain hose. There was a small zip tie stuck in the coin trap that was poking into the vanes of the pump. I removed it and put hose together. Plugged machine in and still no spin or agitation or door unlocking. It will fill and pump out though.

Is there a way to open the door without breaking the plastic latch? Without the serial number and model number It will be hard to troubleshoot what I'm afraid is a circuit board problem.

Without a model it is just a guess, some of the older Frigidaire's used a wax motor for the door lock. If there has never been a click when the door locks should just be able to unplug the washer let the wax cool and the door should unlock in several minutes. Was the belt broken? There should be a tech sheet in the washer.

Thanks Vance! Belt is unbroken. The door opened after waiting. Now I have the Model #FWT645RHS0.

Verify 120 vac to motor module at c6.6 for line and c6.5 for neutral.  I would ohm out the motor just to be safe, pins 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 1 should all be the same and the tach winding should be around 184 ohms.
