Kenmore Elite 795.79049.312 ice maker issues

I am having trouble with my bottom freezer refrigerator (model # 795.79049.312).  The ice maker line that runs into the unit from the back keeps freezing up.  The valve assembly and lines have been replaced multiple times but still continue to have this issue.  The unit can be defrosted and the water will reach the ice maker and make ice for a day or two, sometimes a week, and then it will freeze again.  I recently changed the ice maker assembly itself and the valve assembly at the same time.  Everything worked fine for about a week then it froze up again.  Freezer temp is set at 8 degrees Fahrenheit.  Both the fridge and freezer are cooling properly and respond to temperature changes on the display.  Water pressure is adequate as well.  What could be causing this issue and how do I remedy this situation?

I'm having the exact same problem.  Mine is model number 795.79049.313 installed July 2017.   I have to unplug it, warm up the outlet area with a hair-dryer for a little bit, then blow compressed air into the tube from the water valve area.  A little 1/4 to 1/2" long bullet of ice comes shooting out of the outlet.  I put it all back together and I'm good for a day or so.  Then it's frozen up again.  I replaced the ice-maker unit about 6 months ago because it was the original and had a cracked tray.

Does anyone know if this model features a tube heater to keep the tube from freezing?   Perhaps that's the problem?  If so, please post the repair procedure.

Thanks,

HW

Check the fill tube heater for dc voltage at con 5 on the main board pins 17 to 18 should be 12 vdc. Then unplug the refrigerator and disconnect the plug at con 5 and measure the heater resistance using the same pins on the wire harness connector. Heater should be about 120 ohms.
