GE Range JGB660SEJ1SS - replacement of WB36X25218 RANGE BACKGUARD and TOP COMPLEMENT BACKGUARD WB34X24960

Need to replace scratched GE Range JGB660SEJ1SS RANGE BACKGUARD part WB36X25218. Can't figure out how to attach TOP COMPLEMENT BACKGUARD part WB34X2496 (the small black piece that holds WB36X25218) to back of range. GE's diagrams and support don't help and I can't find anything on YouTube. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I need to explain. The 2nd and 3rd pics are the bolts that look to go into the top piece but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the end of the piece for them to go (see second pic below). Here are two more pics, the first is the front of RANGE BACKGUARD part WB36X25218, so it will be more recognizable to anyone who is familiar with GE Range JGB660SEJ1SS, and the second is part WB34X2496, the black top piece that holds the assembly to the top of the range. Any ideas about how to replace part WB36X25218, without taking the range apart? Thanks again!
