GWL11 Motor Control Board

I replaced the motor control board because I couldn't get a consistent error code. Every time I tried, I got a different error code. So ... when I got the new one, I started by removing the cables attached to the various slots on the board; without taking a photo first. Now I have an open slot labeled "motor" and no cable to match. Has anyone seen this before? The slot has a bit that blocks the wrong cable being attached, as do others. I'm at a total loss. Help.

Thanks. Steve

Put up a photo of how it is now and is there any cables left over ?

no loose cables. I have looked and looked. Nothing. I will take a photo when I get back there.

Here is the photo. Not sure how much good it will do. There is no way for any other cable to enter this enclosure without me seeing it. No other connector will fit this slot either. Has anyone experienced this?

Here's a close up of the empty slot. It's the one to the far left in the other photo.

Its all good to go

its a standard case for late model machines and different machines connect into different spots

your machine has the motor and pump on the same plug

on later machines they have seperate  plugs so the motor plugs into that vacant slot

just make sure you set the right size for your machine

J5: You are correct. I attached all other connections, set the size and put in a load of wash. Runs perfectly. Thanks for your help. My wife thinks she wants an LG washer. We have had the F and P for about 20 years. It has needed a little of this, and a little of that, but it's all been easy to diagnose and repair. I'm hanging on to this one.

Forty years ago, I ran into a guy who was working in a garage or small warehouse in Manhattan Beach, CA. (Might have been Hermosa Beach)  He was working on designing a washer that used direct drive. The basket was sloped slightly so the top was wider than the bottom, and was made of a plastic material. When it spun up, the water would climb the sides to empty. It needed only one tub, and used less water than a double-tub. He shopped it around to all the appliance manufacturers, and only Kitchen Aid had any interest. When I first saw this P and K, I was pleasantly surprised. It was engineered almost to the same design as the guy's in Manhattan Beach. I wonder if he has any patents on this design.

Anyway, thanks for your response. Steve
