LG french door linear compressor swap for standard compressor.

Hi everyone, LFXS29766S /00. Linear Compressor tested positively to be replaced as it was on this model done already 3 times by other technicians. May have to check the sealed system for obstructions/cleanness .....

I recapped partially the board in order to get rid of bad capacitors. Steady voltage rise is present to about 150V with comp. disconnected. Connected compressor jerks the voltage 30-50-60-90-130V. Gauge shows 60Psi steady pressure comp. running or not. Youtube shows replacing the comp. by regular former generation compressor and adding 12V relay operated by the cond. fan circuit. Looks good option but when I was testing the comp. disconnected, the voltage vent incrementally to 150V and then turned off the whole system accompanied by led code 3. It is apparently due to inverter not sensing current flow by the comp. so it turns off I guess. If I do the conversion, I may have same issue after unless freezer thermistors sense the cooling telling the board head that everything is OK and will disregard the inverter been unused? I just don't want to do the conversion finding out that I have to have some dummy load on the inverter side.

The chances of this hack being remotely successful are almost zero.

If this work was done by an LG authorized service company, you should contact LG and tell them you want a new refrigerator.

This is my friend's fridge I am trying to help out in this never ending comp. failures. This LG was made in 2016 or so and each time it lasted about 2 years only. He doesn't want any of their technicians in his home anymore and claims the LG is out of warranty by now. There are some video-clips on you-tube claiming they done this hack and looking through comments I couldn't find any rebuttal. I certainly will not get involved until I am sure it can be done. Yes, I have the same suspicious feeling reading your comment because if that shutoff this LG when connector disconnected, it is a great concern to put so much work into this, rendering the fridge not usable. Living in SW experiencing frequently Miki-mouse jobs on any kind of technology makes me believe that they cut some corners just to make it run and collect compensation regardless how long it is going to last. Missing metering devices, instead of cleaning dirty coils offering new AC units ...... I see this frequently in regard Air-conditioning, Appliances of any kind, just anything hands have to be put on. Honesty is not involved here, just brutal leap in order to rip off and even with new units been installed, the job is done poorly and frequent services/repairs have to be done after even on new units.
