LG WM2496HSM Washer- 14 Yr old- Very loud spin cycle

My well used LG washing machine's spin cycle has gotten very loud. No squeeling or grinding, though. I understand that is it likely the fault of a failing bearing. I was told that the whole tub has be be replaced though I see on Repair Select that bearings are available separately (but not a drum- obsolete?).  Not sure if the bearing(s) can be replaced in this model or has its age/use fatally caught up with it?

I have attached a sound file of the spin cycle.

Also, I have been getting a whistling sound when the cold water fills. I have already replaced the hoses and checked the inlet valve screens. Need a new inlet valve?

Thanks for the insights.

Yup, sounds like worn bearings. Most servicer would replacement rear tub and basket. The reason for replacing the basket is when bearing wear they stop turning easy which will make the basket shaft spin inside the bearing race. This spinning cause the shaft to wear reducing it's diameter allowing for  shaft movement or play.  The basket spider is available separate, but can be very hard to remove from the basket. The rear tub bearings and seal are fairly easy to remove and replace after taking the tub assembly out and apart.
