Manufacturer: Fisher & Paykel
Type of Appliance: Dishwasher drawer model
Model Number: DD24SI9 N
Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): yes
Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): yes

I have never seen this model. No controls other than on top of the drawer, hidden after closing it.

Customer did not have owners manual, but I was able to find one from F&P

Apparently, this model has some type of sound sensor in the front of the drawer allowing the

drawer to unlock by knocking on the front of the drawer 3x .

I just need more info on it to locate the sensor.

Thanks

This may be your part, not able to find any match between part number and model number.

Noticed a few people finding the problem being the sensor not installed after delivery and installation of new dishwasher. It just hangs there and nobody screwed it in place.

Thanks for the feedback.

The customer stated the installer was not too competent. He did not even put the drawer handle on the custom drawer front. They have been yanking on the edge of the drawer to force it open and thought it was normal.

Thats when I thought I better look into it. I could not even going to get into the diagnosis before I figured out how how the drawer opened.
