Samsung dryer model dv48j7770gw/a2 won't start

Our dryer will not start turning.  It will if we: 1) open the door. 2) manually turn the drum. 3)close the door, and 4) hit the start button again.  Sometimes we have to do this several times.  I have read about the various parts that an cause a drum to not turn, but I am unclear as to which to do first?

If you hear a click when pushing the start button, then  open the door spin the drum by hand and close the door. Then the motor starts it will most likely be the motor. Taking voltage measurements would confirm this to 100%.

The start winding in the motor is shot. You just don't have the drum spin/door close/button slap timing down to do it consistently.
