Upper oven works fine; lower oven broils when “bake” temperature is set. This does not make for tasty baked goods.

Also leftmost LED segments of both upper oven temp display and clock are dim to the point of being unreadable.

Not sure if both problems are symptoms of a single failed component (touch panel) or if they are separate and distinct.  I can live with a subpar display, but not a malfunctioning oven (especially with Thanksgiving on the near horizon).

anything I should be looking for?  As my way to identify the failed part?  Touch panel?  Relay board?  Ribbon cable?  Something else?

thanks as always.

The oven shows 2 different boards for the unit, 1 is the display board and the other is a relay board.  Both boards show no longer available, so rebuilds is the only opposition. Didn't look to see if any were out on the web.  For the broil issue it is possible to have a stuck power relay. Voltage checks would be needed to confirm.

Curious what does lower oven do when set to broil?
