JDS9860AAP Jenn Air Oven Error Codes at Temperature

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I've been having problems with my oven (not sure how old 10 years at least I would guess)

Upon turning on the oven, and having it heat up, it will shut down while spitting out an error code.

It either gives a code of F1 or F3 (Dual digit code)

Based on what I've been able to find, F3 means a faulty temperature probe. I have replaced it, but the problem persists.

Last time I tried it, I set the oven for 400 degrees. Upon reaching that temperature, it maintained it for around 30 minutes, at which point it spat out the F3 code. I cleared the code, and let the oven cool off. While it was cooling off, it also spat out the F1 code, requiring me to clear the error once again.

I'm kind of lost on what to do. Sometimes it only gives off a F1 code, sometimes only an F3, and sometimes both. I have not taken the oven apart yet, since I'm not sure what to look for.

I thought it could be overheating, but I could see the fan in the back of the oven spin (based on what I've been googling this could've been the problem)

Could anyone assist?
