Asko Dishwasher Model D3251 no water from lower spray arm

Hi All,

We have a 15 year old Asko Dishwasher model D3251 that is no longer spraying from the Lower Arm.  Upper arm works fine and sprays all the time regardless of setting.  i.e. if only the lower spray arm is selected the upper arm still sprays.

I am presuming it is a diverter valve issue however it appears that most of the parts for this dishwasher are no longer available from normal channels.  The diverter valve kit is available on Ebay for $200 to $300.  But based on the age of this dishwasher and the lack of part availability from a reputable supplier, pouring more money into this dishwasher does not make sense.

My questions.

Could there be another issue that would cause this condition?  Main board failure?  Selector switch? etc.?

Is there a way to lock the diverter valve in so it always sprays from both arms and not cause an error code?

Any other insight you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

p.s. I understand that this manufacturer is not one of the favorites here but we purchased this dishwasher long before we knew about Appliantology.

Prob too little too late, but asko is a favorite of some. I often install the diverter kits and if the rest of the unit is in good condition. Is well worth doing.

Reason you see parts NLA is cause asko changed the part distribution network about 10+ years ago or so, and all standard distributors cant get parts so they mark NLA, when most are NOT NLA.  GREAT PLAINS is an authorised distributor, but you need an account, so will needs to work with a part company or service company. The diverter on many of these has been eliminated/ changed, so they may be able to direct you there as. Well.
