Wash cycle was run this AM, it appeared to have finished, went into kitchen as I heard it running, sounds as if it's a pump trying to remove water but there is no

water in the bottom to remove, dishes were clean and dry.  Tried reset cycle, didn't help, with the power button on, it will run, it will stop with the power off, did a reset of power at the breaker, no difference.  Any thoughts on why it's not shutting off by itself. don't want it to burn up.  Thanks

Pulled lower screen, they were clear there is a small amount of water in the drain, and a small stream coming from the side of the drain area, filled it with some water from the tap to check, pump works it clears the water out and a good stream into the disposal until it clears.

When water leaks into the base of the machine, the drain pump will run continuously.

There is a pin hole water stream coming from inside the pump area when it's on, is that not supposed to be happening, its coming from the left side of the pump out of the cover.

Here is the part from the actual unit, you can see where the plastic in the small indentation above the 20 of the PN has worn through allowing a stream of water to constantly come through, basically the pump is draining and refilling the area, circulating water.

Nothing available in short time for holiday, think I'll head to ACE and see what kind of epoxy they have in stock to do a quick repair so we have it for the holiday gathering, and order the part which will take 7 days to get here..

Is there a solution? something to look for besides the part I'm showing?  Thanks

The solution is to fix the leak and dry out the base; it looks like you have found the leak.

@HRK Don't order a new pump impeller cover  - that is NOT your problem, that is not worn thru - it's the way it is manufactured.

You can't see it in the parts picture but I have one in front of me right now and that is the way it is built.
