Maytag Centennial Dryer MEDC300XW0 won't spin

My MEDC300XW0 dryer won't spin when I push the start button.  However if I leave the cycle dial alone when it gets to the wrinkle guard part of the cycle it will start working.  Does not work on the timer setting or the sense drying setting.

The power where the cord is attached to the dryer read 118/118/236 with the multimeter I borrowed.

I tested continuity to the starter switch, and also took the back panel off and tested the thermal fuse, cycling thermostat, high limit thermostat, thermal cut off.  All of these gave the beeping noise for continuity.

I know nothing about dryers so this is from my online searches of things to check.

Thank you for any assistance.

It sounds like you have a faulty timer. If the unit will run (spin and heat) in a different setting than the one desired then there is an issue with the contacts switching from open to close. Timer motor sounds good from your statement.
